WHOA boy!!!

This 'little' critter was on our screen door this morning when I went to let the dogs out. May look small here, but it was bigger than my hand, whatever it is! Can't say I've seen one of these on the island yet... wonder if he has any bigger/meaner relatives. I may have to put out the 'no trespassing' sign :o) Maybe I should include 'no soliciting' too!

Happy Father's Day!

We were waiting for our friends, the Hoskins', to arrive today but they got hung up at Travis Airforce Base. We had the boat out front too, but the tide was high over at the sand bar in Kaneohe. So we just headed for Hickam Beach, packed the cooler, dump trucks, and bags. It was still a great father's day. Happy Father's Day to all the dads!

"It's My New House Mom, I Can Live Here Now!"

The other day I looked out the sliding glass door and there was Connor.... in the huge toy box outside, toys dumped everywhere. He told me that he was in his new house, and that he could live there. Hmmm.... wonder if anyone would call child protective services?!?

Rocco's Bud

We've been watching our friend's dog, Grizzly, while they are away back East. He is such a good dog, but can't seem to resist Rocco's temptation to sleep 'in the good bed.' Go figure! Two peas in a pod....

Getting on the Ball... or Boat I Should Say

We just got around to putting the boat's name on it.... our friend Abbey thought of it months ago after we had bought it. At the time we just found out that we were not going to be buying a house in Virginia and that we were going to be stationed in Hawaii. So the name is quite appropriate, we thought.

Boys Projecting

Will and Connor started a new project a couple weeks ago... to build a new bed. Connor wanted to 'help' paint every chance he got. He actually got pretty good at it. And he decided he wanted 'fire engine red' too. Boy is it red! I have to say, they did a great job!! Now all we need is another mattress for the bottom trundle, and some curtains to go around so that he can make a fort :o)
